Masks or Face Coverings are Not Required for Patients

At this time, masks are not required in our offices. However, if you are at higher risk for illness or believe you may have been recently exposed to a respiratory virus, we recommend wearing a mask to help protect yourself and others.

We continue to closely monitor COVID-19, flu, RSV, and other respiratory illnesses in the community and will follow CDC guidance. If needed, our mask policy may be updated to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in our care.

Additional Guests Are Permitted for Pregnant and Postpartum Patients

In order to limit the amount of people in our waiting rooms, we would prefer for patients to not have guests at their appointment. However, if you are pregnant or just recently gave birth, please familiarize with our policy that allows a support person or baby at your next appointment.

Support Person for Pregnant Patients

We understand the variety of needs for a support person at your visit. Expecting mothers can bring a support person to any OB-GYN appointment, not just ultrasounds. The support person must be 18 years or older and can be a spouse, partner, family member, or friend.

We encourage patients to utilize videoconferencing on their personal devices or have their support person on speakerphone for the duration of the appointment.

Babies at Postpartum Appointments

Patients are welcome to bring their babies to postpartum appointments as long as the baby remains in a carrier, such as a car seat. For the safety and comfort of our patients, babies cannot be held or worn during the appointment. Please note that our office staff cannot supervise unattended children, and patients will need to reschedule if this policy is not followed.

Stay Up-to-Date on Vaccinations

We strongly encourage all patients, especially those who are immunocompromised, pregnant, or postpartum, to stay current with their vaccinations. For more details, please refer to our guide on Safe and Recommended Vaccinations During Pregnancy.

Temperature Screenings

We record temperatures as part of your health check during office visits, but they are not currently required to enter our building. If flu, COVID-19, or other respiratory illnesses begin to rise in our area, we may reintroduce temperature checks at the entrance as a precaution. Patients with a fever will be asked to reschedule their appointment for a time when they are feeling better.

Handwashing Strongly Encouraged

Wash your hands after touching surfaces that may be frequently touched by other people, such as door handles, tables, etc. You also need to wash your hands before touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Read why you should avoid alcohol-based hand sanitizers during pregnancy.

Telehealth Visits

We will continue to implement televisits as a scheduling option for certain healthcare needs that can be provided over the phone without an in-person visit.

Equipment Restrictions

Our priority is always to provide the highest quality care while ensuring the safety and well-being of all our patients.

We have taken into consideration various factors, including equipment limitations and safety protocols within our practice. Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to accommodate patients who weigh over 500 pounds due to the constraints of our current equipment.

We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It is essential to us that every patient receives the care they need in an environment that can fully support their specific requirements.

We genuinely care about your health and well-being. Our intention is to ensure you receive the appropriate care in a safe and comfortable setting. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to assisting you further and helping you navigate this situation.
