Meridith Farrow, MD, FACOG

Dr. Meridith Farrow

Meridith J. Farrow, MD was born and raised in Covington. After 13 years of practicing medicine in Florida and serving as an Assistant Professor for the University of Florida Shands Jacksonville, she returned to Covington in 2017 to join Covington Women’s Health Specialists.

Over the past few years, she has also taken on the role of an OB Hospitalist, whose role helps ensure that each patient is given the attention they need.

Dr. Farrow’s help allows our other physicians to focus on the patients in the office or operating room, lowering the chance of a doctor being called away for a delivery or an emergency while a patient is in the office. She continues to see patients in the office a few days per month.

Dr. Farrow’s areas of interest are diagnosing female cancers, treating menopausal patients, and helping our female patients overcome sexual problems and gain sexual awareness.

She is the Chief of Obstetrics at Piedmont Newton Hospital and a member of the Medical Executive Committee. She regularly travels to Haiti to provide medical care.

Dr. Farrow is an adjunct Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty member for Augusta University and the University of Georgia Medical Partnership, teaching future physicians.

She also mentors and instructs advanced practice nursing students, nurse practitioners, and midwifery students.

She lives in Covington with her husband and daughter. She is also an avid pet lover, with two dogs, two hairless cats, and two geckos.

Her family tradition is volunteer service. She enjoys being involved with local non-profit events, such as the Newton County Arts Association.
